1. Introduction
The GOZIDI application and all related services are provided and managed by GOZIDI Limited ("GOZIDI").
These Terms and Conditions ("User Terms") govern your access to and use of the GOZIDI app, its services, and any associated features, whether accessed via mobile device or computer.
They also apply to all content, suggestions, and services made available through the platform.
This document is an electronic record under applicable information technology laws and does not require a physical or digital signature.
By clicking "I ACCEPT", you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with any part, you must not use GOZIDI services.
Your acceptance of these Terms forms a legally binding agreement between you and GOZIDI.
By accepting, you also consent to receiving occasional promotional messages via email, SMS, or app notifications.
2. Payment
- Hourly Wage: Fixed rate for all scheduled shifts.
- Payment Schedule: Daily via Vodacom M-Pesa within 24 hours after the last shift or weekly every Friday.
- Guaranteed Earnings: All scheduled hours worked are paid, including idle time.
3. Shift Scheduling
- Drivers choose from available shifts confirmed at least 2 days in advance.
- Overall scheduling is managed by shift managers or businesses.
4. Performance and Tier System
Evaluation Criteria: Reliability, rider ratings, shift completion.
Tiers and benefits:
- Gold – Highest priority.
- Silver – Medium priority.
- Bronze – Basic priority.
- Higher-tier drivers can earn extra by taking shifts that others leave uncovered.
5. Fuel Reimbursement
- Reimbursement covers distance from pickup to drop-off.
- Ensures that hourly wages remain unaffected.
- GOZIDI optimizes supply and demand to reduce idle driving.
6. Driver Allocation
- Drivers cannot choose rides; all assignments must be fulfilled.
- Only voluntary tips are allowed; all other payments go through GOZIDI.
7. Conduct and Compliance
Drivers must follow all laws, safety rules, and GOZIDI policies.
Misconduct may result in warnings, suspension, or termination.
Drivers must maintain valid licenses and permits.
8. Termination and Availability
GOZIDI can suspend or terminate accounts for repeated non-compliance or misconduct.
Drivers may voluntarily terminate via the app.
Drivers cannot cancel assigned jobs.
Drivers must stay online during scheduled hours unless authorized.
Punctuality, attendance, conduct, and policy compliance are mandatory.
- Arrive on time; being late twice in a week may lead to dismissal.
- Attend all scheduled shifts; missing more than one shift without notice may result in disciplinary action or account deactivation.
- Maintain professional and respectful behaviour toward riders.
- Verified misconduct reports can result in immediate dismissal.
- Failure to follow policies may lead to warnings, strikes, suspension, or termination.
9. Driver Documentation Requirements
To become a driver with GOZIDI, all drivers are required to submit the mandatory documents, including a valid NIDA ID, Driver Insurance certificate, LATRA certificate, and driving license.
Drivers may begin working upon submission of these documents. However, a Police Clearance Certificate must be submitted within one (1) week after completing the first job, typically within five (5) to seven (7) working days.
Failure to provide the Police Clearance Certificate within the specified timeframe will result in suspension of the driver’s account until full compliance is achieved.
10. Amendments
- GOZIDI may update the Terms at any time.
- Continued use of the platform implies acceptance of updated Terms.
